Warmachine & Hordes is a wargame made by Privateer Press. Players form armies centred around a powerful and focused warcaster or a fearsome and furious warlock, wielding magic and controlling beasts of steel and flesh in their efforts to gain control of the Iron Kingdoms and the world of Immoren as a whole! We have some great content producers here, in all types of media, from some of the best players in the world. Enjoy!

Streaming at WTC 2017 fundraiser is live!

Posted by on 8:13 am

We here at Enter the Crucible and Muse on Minis in conjunction with the World Team Championship would love the opportunity to bring streaming back to the World Team Championship in 2017, in Belgium! But we need your help. We present to you, the community, the opportunity to allow us to provide the same, if not better, quality video coverage of the world team event for the third year in a row. Our funding goal represents the amount of money it would take to send two equipment technicians and two commentators which would produce the same quality stream we have done in the past. Without meeting that goal, we will not be able to afford producing the quality video coverage we hope to provide. 100% of the proceeds of this campaign will go towards the World Team Championship streaming effort, even if we do not meet the funding goal.  Worse case scenario, we will use the funds to support other streaming efforts there or send equipment and an equipment technician to assist in the streaming of the World Team Championship. If we do meet our goal, you can expect not only the same quality of coverage we are known for, but several technological improvements we would love to show off. We are not a business, we take no personal income from this venture, we are simply enthusiastic supporters of the hobby and the World Team Championship, and we love to show it off to the world. We have been blessed with the communities’ support in the past, and we would simply not be able to do so without your support again. So if you would like to see the World Team Championship streamed with the highest quality professional coverage we can provide, please donate and we, as a community, can make this happen again! FAQ:   Why no products or rewards? We believe that what you are supporting is the product. In addition, any products or rewards we would produce would cut into and inflate the funding goal which might be detrimental to making this happen. We simply ask that you donate however much you feel comfortable to support this effort. Why so much? Simply stated, as much as we would like too, we personally can’t afford to make this happen on our own and the funding goal is based entirely on the raw basic costs just to get us there and allow this to happen. Where would the stream be hosted? This is to be determined, but we will inform the community of the exact stream channel before we go live, and if you follow the twitch handle of “Warmachine & Hordes” you will be sure not to miss it regardless of the channel we stream through. Also, we are exploring alternative routes of streaming that may provide us better picture quality to you. I am a business and I would love to advertise on your stream, how can I do that? Please contact us through this campaign for all such inquires. Level of advertising would be based upon the funds your business would be willing to donate and we would have to make sure that it doesn’t conflict with any existing event sponsorship. Enter the Crucible is not a business and any advertising would be strictly funds donated...

Beermachine – Episode #52

Posted by on 5:15 pm

We had an amazing guest this week, Aaron Gordon Braaten, aka Aaron the Dream Maker. Aaron is the person who’s created the life size replicas of numerous Iron Kingdoms weapons, high class dice trays, and numerous other drool-worthy projects from wood. Aaron sent us Swede Hill Distilling’s Cherry Moonshine, if you can get some, do it! Courtesy of Tracy Carter, we got the chance to taste New Holland’s Dragon’s Milk – Bourbon Barrel Stout back to back with Mexican Spice Cake variant, courtesy of listener Jeff I hung out with at Adepticon! Jeff was also gracious enough to send us Beer Barrel Bourbon: That’s right, a bottle of bourbon aged in white oak beer barrels, which was also from New Holland. We had a four year old bottle of Dogfish Head’s 120 Minute IPA from Andew not-Thomas! We rounded out the evening with Hardywood’s Raspberry Stout, which I brought back from my trip to Richmond, Virginia. For those of you who don’t know Tim, he’s half of the founding members of “Arcane Assist”, half the founder of the biggest WarMachine-centric convention in Canada, Captain of a Canadian WTC team… and generally a great guy. Oh, and he won a massive, 116 player Masters a couple weeks back. So, yeah, he’s kinda a big deal. Listen to us talk shop with Tim about the Southern Ontario Open!
