Streaming at the World Team Championship Update 1

Here is an update on our progress, I plan to post something like this every week.

Where are we with the funding?

I am pleased to announce that we have raised well over $3000.00. We are less then $1500.00 from our optimal goal.

With the funds we have been able to secure travel for Clint and our two commentators. From here, we are looking at our equipment purchases and miscellaneous travel expenses, which will be able to cover once we hit our optimal funding goal of $4500.00.

Our stretch goals are getting a third commentator to the WTC in order to prevent fatigue from the two that we have.

The equipment we plan to purchase is relatively inexpensive items that are more portable for international travel.

Where we are at with the stream?

I am pleased to announce that we have added two volunteers to the “crew” to make this even better.

First off we have some volunteer help from James Brennan from the Thrall life podcast. He was going to be at the WTC regardless and has volunteered his time to assist Clint with the equipment as necessary.

Second, a local Floridian (well, local to us), Keith Alexander, is volunteering his time to provide art resources for the stream. He has already sent me a proof of concept for our overlay:

As well as teased things to come:

He has his own webpage where he produces WM/H related videos here:

Where are we going from here?

As Keith works on our overlays, I am hoping that I will have a further update on them in action.

Once we have all our equipment together, we are hoping to be able to do a full proof of concept of a 5 on 5 team that we will stream through Chain Attack’s twitch as a dry run and also show off to the community what they have supported. I am hoping we will be able to do so by the end of this month, or early next.

With access to a real art producer now, we are redeveloping the match up selection screen. Like with the overlays, as soon as I have something to show off I will.

We will keep you guys updated on a weekly basis on what we are doing and what we are working on, any videos I can produce to show off the stream, I will post in these updates.

A big thank you to all that have helped make this a reality! It is a great time to be a member of the WM/H community!
