On Sept 21st and 22nd the 7th Mayhem Cup was held at Misty Mountain Games in Madison WI. 43 players from 5 states were competing for the trophy.
In the end Iowa and Springfield IL team tied for most team points. Iowa pulled it ahead in tiebreakers (points in the 50pt event)

Anyone know what cool Kurt had in his lists?
If I am not mistaken, this is the second Mayhem Cup to go to tie breakers. I wonder if that points to needing to change the point system or drive more difference? I had a great time and great job by Crippled System running the event. It’s been a long time since my dice have failed so hard in two consecutive games, but I had a blast!

You are correct that this is the second time it has gone to tie breaks. Both times the Springfield/St. Louis team has lost on tie breaks. Sorry to let you down, but the cup will remain with the Iowa crew, for now…
The event only goes to Ties when madison doesnt win the cup. When we do well, we dominate the scoring, when we fail, we epic fail.
The scoring has changed a little over the past 4 events. (The first time there was a tie, the 20pt eventd did count towards the overall) – now the main event, 35pt and and painting all add to overall score (altough painting score is mild) – and I dont think future events will allow a person to win best painted in multiple catogories.
I would also like to see models that win, not be eligible again. Those Pink Battle mages can only win so many best painted units until everyone just stops trying to beat them. lol..
I think the powers beyond the Cup are always trying to tweak things a little, so we have a clear winner. 2 ties out of 5 events is still pretty hard to do. thats some crazy breakdown considering 8 spots in 1 event give points, 4 events in another event give points, and 5 poitns from painting is possible.
I was playing p and e Butcher. It was a super fun time. Kinda tired of Iowa cheating to take the cup tho.
