Madison Six-Pack Tournament Series

Over the past 6 months, we have held a series of linked Tournaments in Madison WI.  Each tournament, prize support was Faction coins for all factions, as well as coins for Best of Warmachine/Best or Hordes.    We also tracked all the tournament results to determine overall faction winners for the 6 events, as well as  an overall champion. Overall Champion will go to the player with the most Tournament wins over the 6 events.

All players that attend at least 4 events will also receive a free “6 Pack T-shirt”.  Any players that cannot make at least 4 events were given the chance to also buy a T-shirt.  Attendance for every event was $10 – Faction coin kits were the only prize given out at each event, and the “extra Money” went towards T-Shirts, Overall Faction winners, and a prize for Overall champion.

Awards for Each Faction

The overall Winner also received a Free colossal of their choice – $130 Store Credit.

Lots of free shirts

I have played Warmachine since 2004. Before that I have played warhammer fantasy for ten years, but I stopped playing Fantasy shortly after starting warmachine. I enjoy every aspect of the hobby. I love competive play, as well as just playing fun goofy lists on casual game night at our local game store. I also spent a good chunk of my free time working on making terrain for our events our local gamestores. I mainly play Skorne and Cryx, but I do own a small gatorman minion force that I have fun playing. Brian "carnage4u" Giese

Looks like a blast! I love the idea of a tournament series, perhaps next year we can get something going across the whole midwest?

It really was a lot of fun. It was more work setting i up, and trying to decide on all the different formats. 50pts is the most popular by far in our area, but we wanted to have some variants for some of our players that like things like “escalation type events” as well.

We made it within $25 of our total budge as well. Which when trying to plan out 6 events, and t-shirts/prizes for everything causes a headache.

Also – PG Majortusk and PG Rydiafan both helped make these events possible. The 3 of us all ran 2 of the 6 events, and each of us had some assigned tasks to make everything run smoothly.

Great set of events although that is a pretty terrible picture of me :-)

I wanted to put champion in quotes, but I was nice.

Is Jeremy Schea on the Muse forums? I need to pick his brain a bit.

Man I miss you guys. Seeing those photos brought back memories of last year. So far Madison has been as far as I’ve traveled for a game.
Sigh… Oh and don’t forget to tip your waitress at Denny’s guys.
