This week on the show, Ryan, Cutter, and myself talk recent games, upcoming events, and most importantly: LISTENER QUESTIONS! We answer questions about the Archangel, Abby2, Kallus1, Minions, and a few other topics. [Anamag 1] Anamag the Doom Feaster [+27]

  • Blightbringer [32]
  • Harrier [3]
  • Ammok the Truthbearer [4]
    Bog Trog Mist Speaker [4]
    Spell Martyr [1]
    Spell Martyr [1]
    Warmonger War Chief [5]
    Blighted Ogrun Warmongers (max) [13]
  • Gorag Rotteneye [0(6)]
    Blighted Rotwings (min) [7]
    Chosen of Everblight (min) [12]
    Chosen of Everblight (max) [20]
    Hellmouth [0(6)]
    Hellmouth [0(6)]

If you want three martyrs you can drop the MistSpeaker and chief to max the second chosen unit + martyr. However, the goal of the list is to leverage Anamag’s spell threat more aggressively, and the MistSpeaker gives you some additional tech into stealth (Tharn, gremlins), protection against non-magical shooting (passage, gremlins), and clouds/blind (OldWitch3); the chief compliments this goal through veteran leader. Hellmouths + gallows brings a significant threat – particularly to Harbinger who does not want key warriors pulled out of her CMD (and then consumed).

The list also brings five solos that can camp flags, giving the chief a slight advantage over the extra four Rotwings in that capacity. And I’ve always found Anamag’s inability to protect the Rotwings a bit of a liability beyond a min unit, anyhow – she can get a lot out of a min unit with clearing chaff and running to contest/activate the feat.

The Blightbringer battlegroup serves Anamag well in those matchups because of the extra ARM on the approach and the no tough into Tharn – and both Anamag and BB work best when amplifying infantry. I’ve tried her with larger battlegroups, different beasts, and only a BB, and this feels the best when trying to squeeze every ounce out of her kit.
